The Steeledale FBE lattice beam slab system, an alternative to the conventiona suspended slab, is based on a highly successful concept originating in Europe The lattice girder is electronically welded and high tensile wire of minimum 485MPa of various diameters is used. Girders can be manufactured in various heights from 100mm to 250mm to suit the application.

The precast rib is cast using a minimum of 25MPa concrete at 28 days. The rib is 50mm high and 150mm wide. The exposed girder forms an excellent shear key between the precast rib and the in situ concrete.
